Évora, the capital, with only 50000 inhabitants it’s a charming city which historic center is an UNESCO world heritage site.

She´s known as the museum-city because as we walk through her streets we can appreciate monuments and squares where a 2000 year´s old history was written.

Évora is also an university city, the second oldest one in the country, and between her Cathedral, Giraldo Square and Diana temple, it´s natural to meet the students who give a lively atmosphere to the city.

Be brave and don´t miss one of the spookiest chapels in Portugal, The Bone Chapel, with the walls covered with human skulls and bones.

Alentejo is also a region of one of Portugal´s treasures – Wine

We´ll visit Cartuxa, situated in an old Jesuit´s house, and famous for producing wines of excellent quality and the superb Pêra Manca, one of Portugal´s finest wines.
