During our tour, we’ll pass through the most traditional neighborhoods, namely Downtown (Baixa) and Alfama. In Downtown, we’ll see the hustle of a classical day of shopping and in Alfama, we’ll have the opportunity to wander through the labyrinthine streets once inhabited by the Moors. Apart from these, we cannot miss Belém, the neighborhood from which, in the 16th century, Portuguese navigators set sail in search of the New World. Here, we’ll visit the Jerónimos Monastery* and we’ll pass by the Belém Tower, both declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as the Monument to the Discoveries, a masterpiece that enhances the important characters linked to Portugal’s Golden Age.
